Cleopatra Jaramillo Estrada Medical Expenses

Cleopatra Jaramillo Estrada has devoted her life’s work to advocating on behalf of underrepresented communities. Cleo was a farmworker and first generation student from the San Luis Valley who graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with three degrees and worked as a counselor and student advocate at CU Boulder for 40 years.

Unfortunately, shortly following her well-deserved retirement, she discovered that she had stage IV Serous Uterine cancer.  She has been positive and upbeat during her entire chemo and surgical process. She was in remission for about one month, and then realized the cancer remained. She now has advanced cancer. We are heartbroken as she only has a few weeks to a few months more with us before she passes. She continues to smile and is helping to carry her family members through this. She has two daughters and four young grandchildren.  She has been more of a second mother to her grandchildren and has an incredible bond with each of them.

Medical bills have continued to pile and we will need support to pay for funeral expenses.  Anything you can provide is greatly appreciated.
